Jay L. Post

Managing Partner & President

Jay Post is Managing Partner and President of Orangestar, which he co-launched in 2014 with his brother Brian Post. Jay oversees the day to day management and operating activities of the firm, and is responsible for the sourcing of all acquisitions, debt originations, and dispositions, for the company. He started his career in the Management Development Program at M&T Bank and parlayed his banking experience across multiple industries into senior positions at private companies and large international investment banks and institutions. Jay received a BS in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises from Syracuse University’s Martin J Whitman School of Management.

Jay and his wife Nicole are active members of the Dallas-Fort Worth community and serve on multiple boards and committees. Jay serves as a Board Member of Congregation Anshai Torah in Plano, TX and is also a Member of the Executive Committee of the Dallas Area JCRC (Jewish Community Relations Council.) When not working, Jay can be found on the sideline coaching his boys’ soccer and basketball teams.

Brian H. Post

Managing Partner & Chief Financial Officer

Brian Post is Managing Partner, CFO and Treasurer of Orangestar, which he co-launched in 2014 with his brother Jay Post. Brian oversees all elements of the Company’s finance and asset management functions and has served as a lead principal on numerous new development projects and acquisitions. Prior to founding Orangestar, Brian worked for Deloitte in their Banking and Securities Group and holds CPA licenses in New York and Ohio. Brian received a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Undergraduate Degrees in both Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management. He is a member of AICPA, BOMA, and ICSC.

Brian is married and lives in Dallas with his wife Heather, daughter Cara, and son Jared.

Martin Solomon

Partner & Senior Advisor

Martin Solomon is a respected real estate veteran whose leadership in the industry spans over 50 years and includes Commercial and Residential real estate investment, development and asset management.

After graduating from The Ohio State University in 1967 with a degree in Corporate Finance and Real Estate, Martin joined B & I Management Co., co-founded by his father, Howard Solomon, Abram Post and Myron Agrenovitz, in 1947. Initially working in property management involving apartment complexes, Martin soon headed up an expansion of the business into shopping center development in the early 1970’s. In 1987, the shareholders of the various entities involved in the firm’s businesses, did a corporate reorganization and formed P & S Equities, Inc. as the parent company of all the real estate interests. In addition, in the late 1970’s, the shareholders diversified into the energy business and got involved in oil and gas well development. The oil and gas business was affected primarily through Mash Investment Company and P & S Energy, Inc. In the 1980’s, Martin succeeded the first generation co-founders to become President and CEO of all the business enterprises.

Starting in the 1990’s, P & S diversified geographically into various states including Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas. The geographic expansion also included diversification into mixed use properties and office buildings. In 2014, P & S made a major commitment to establish a significant presence in Dallas, TX, and to begin an acquisition program of commercial properties, with an emphasis on office buildings. This program is spearheaded by Orangestar Properties, which is headed by Jay Post and Brian Post, third generation family members of one of the co-founders. Orangestar is the main vehicle for new acquisitions and development and involves Martin Solomon and Ben Post, second generation, Jay Post, Brian Post and Jeffrey Solomon, third generation, and Andrew Solomon and Brandon Solomon, fourth generation.

Orangestar is headquartered in Plano, TX and Martin now calls Dallas, TX home.

Ben Z. Post

Senior Advisor

Ben Post is a seasoned real estate executive and has worked in the industry for close to 5 decades. He has spent his entire career with Orangestar predecessor companies and is currently a Partner and Advisor to Orangestar.

Ben joined P & S Equities, the Ohio-based real estate development firm co-founded by his father Abe Post in 1972, shortly after graduating college. Ben worked closely with his father, as well as co-founder Howard Solomon, as the company expanded its legacy residential real estate portfolio to include commercial real estate property such as existing shopping centers and surrounding land for future development. In addition, Ben also worked as an administrator and development associate in the firm’s energy business, P&S Energy, started in the late 1970s.

Throughout his career, Ben has been responsible for the administration of the entire P&S Equities business including all subsidiaries, and has also served as the company’s corporate secretary. Today, he consults and invests with sons Jay and Brian in the acquisition and operation of Texas properties for the Orangestar portfolio.

Mr. Post earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management with a major in accounting from Syracuse University. He lives in Naples, Florida.

Jeffrey Solomon

Partner & Advisor

Jeffrey Solomon is a Partner and Advisor with Orangestar and has been with the Company since 1995. His primary focus is on Orangestar’s residential, multi-family operations. He’s a native of Youngstown, Ohio and holds a BA in Communications from the Ohio State University.

Jeffrey currently serves on the Board of Directors of Valley Partners, Inc. formerly The Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corporation, where he served as President.

Mike Pfeifer

Advisor, Medical Development

Mike Pfeifer is a Strategic Advisor to Orangestar and a Partner with Sentinel Construction. Over the course of his 20+ year career, Mike has participated in, managed, and directed more than $1.5 billion worth of construction projects including:

The construction of a local $650 million LEED Silver Children’s Hospital
The construction of a local $260 million LEED Silver Hospital
The completion of $50 million worth of healthcare renovations within active facilities.
The development of over 350,000 SF of office space and 500 units of residential apartments

Mike is based in Pittsburgh, PA. He holds a B.S. in Structural Design Engineering from Pennsylvania State University

Michael Osburn

Advisor, Construction

Michael Osburn is a Strategic Advisor to Orangestar, and Partner and Managing Director of Aristos Global, a construction and development consulting, risk mitigation, and crisis management firm.

With work experience on the ground in places like Afghanistan, Lebanon, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Michael has provided clients across the United States and abroad with a unique, one-of-a-kind perspective to solving their challenges. Michael has worked on over 22.8 million square feet and $5.6 billion in acquisitions, major capital projects, and international developments.

Michael is based in Dallas, TX. He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MSc in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

AMY BLACKBURN

Vice President, Finance & Administration

Amy is the Vice President of Finance and Administration of the Orangestar Property Ventures and has over 25 years of accounting, finance, business administration experience. Amy started her career with Orangestar in 1995, first as a staff accountant in the Oil and Gas division, and was soon promoted to Controller of the Company’s Energy business. In 2010, she transitioned to working within the Real Estate division.

Amy holds a degree in Accounting from Kent State University. She lives in Ohio with her two daughters, Marissa and Megan.

GAIL HOPWOOD

GENERAL MANAGER, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Gail joined Orangestar in May 2021 as General Manager in charge of property management and daily operations. She has over 30 years of experience in real estate and prior to joining Orangestar she worked with Trammel Crow, Gailbreath, Huntington Bank and CBRE. She was President of BOMA Columbus in 2006 and served on the Ohio BOMA board for 9 years and as a member for 20 years.

Gail holds an Associates Degree from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas. She is a licensed realtor in the state of Texas and is a certified RPA through BOMA.

She has two daughters, Jessica and Hanna, and two grandchildren, Hayden and Bella.

Chris Strong

Director of Facilities & Construction Management

Chris joined Orangestar in October 2022 as Director of Facilities and Property Management over the DFW portfolio. He previously worked in Commercial Construction as Construction Superintendent for a General Contractor, Construction Manager for Boxer Property as well as working as an Assistant Community Construction Manager for CB Jeni Lifestyle Homes. Prior to his work in Construction Management, he also had his own business installing decorative window films in commercial office suites and private residences. He also dedicated over 17 years of his career to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation as a CAD and Visualization designer developing drawings and photorealistic interior and exterior renderings for high-end mid and large cabin corporate aircraft.

Chris also graduated from Collin College Law Enforcement Academy in 2017 where he earned his TCOLE Certification as a self-sponsored cadet.

Chris now resides in Krum, TX with his wife Jamie, twin daughters London and Zoe and his son Gage.

Sarah Gintert

Manager, Finance & Lease Administration

Sarah joined Orangestar in 2015 as a Property Accountant, handling both the residential and commercial property sectors of the company in lease administration and financial analysis. In 2020, Sarah was escalated to Manager of Finance & Administration over the Orangestar entities.

Sarah holds several degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Youngstown State, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the AACSB-accredited Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.

After graduation, Sarah worked as an inventory control analyst at AVI Foodsystems, Inc. in Warren, OH, researching discrepancies in monthly inventory at 12 vending branches of the company located regionally. She then moved on to become an accountant in the tax department of Black, Bashor, and Porsche, LLP in Sharon, PA performing individual and corporate tax returns and accounting books for clients in multiple industries for several years.

Sarah now resides in Warren with her family.
